Charlottesville 2022 Best New Restaurant Finalists

In the face of a crippling pandemic, 2021 was a somehow banner year for restaurant openings in Charlottesville. Though it is too early to say, it might even rival 2014 for its contributions to Charlottesville’s food scene. Among the many openings, the 2022 Best New Restaurant will be announced this week, on Thursday March 17. Below are the finalists. Note: to be eligible, a restaurant must have opened in 2021 and have a Charlottesville mailing address, which makes ineligible stellar openings outside Charlottesville like Marigold and Champion Ice House, among others.
