Tavola Auction
by Charlottesville29
Here is your chance to experience Tavola like you never have experienced it before, while helping to feed the area’s hungry. It’s The Charlottesville 29 Restaurant Auctions, presented by McGuireWoods. Along with all of the other restaurants in The Charlottesville 29, Tavola has created a signature experience available to whoever pledges the highest donation to The Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. Tavola is generously donating the entire experience, which means the winning bid goes directly to the food bank. Each dollar donated is enough to provide four meals to the area’s hungry. So, a winning bid of, say, $1,500 would mean not just a wonderful meal for the winner and their guests, but also 6,000 more meals for the area’s hungry.
The Tavola signature experience for The Charlottesville 29 Restaurant Auctions:
True Tuscan Feast
Beginning this week, Charlottesville’s most beloved Italian restaurant is teaming up with one of the best from its sister city of Poggio a Caiano, as part of the Charlottesville Sister Cities Program. First, from today, June 6, through Saturday, June 11, chef Roberta Vivetta Cintelli, of Ristorante il Falcone will be at Tavola, cooking, teaching, learning and meeting restaurant guests. Then, in July, Tavola chef Caleb Warr will travel to Poggio a Caiano to cook, teach, and learn at il Falcone.
The culmination of the partnership will be an over-the-top Tuscan feast this fall in which Tavola will serve the best dishes from the collaboration. It is sure to be one of the dining events of the year, and with just twenty tickets to be sold to the intimate event, it will likely sell out fast. The auction winner and five guests, though, will not need a ticket. They will attend the exclusive event dinner free of charge, and be among the lucky few to enjoy Tavola’s true multi-course Tuscan feast, paired with special Tuscan wines.
Note: Although Tavola has not yet finalized the date for this event this fall, Tavola will make sure the date is agreeable to the auction winner.
