The 2019 Charlottesville 29 Restaurant Auctions will culminate August 20 at Prime 109’s “One Night Only” celebration of restaurants’ generosity, where bidding will end for five remaining dining experiences of a lifetime. Online bidding continues now, and every dollar of each winning bid goes directly to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.

Life is about experiences, not things. So, help feed our area’s hungry and enjoy one of these unforgettable experiences. From Parallel 38, you can win a package that includes more than $5,000 in rare wine, a wine dinner for eight, a wine class and brunch for eight, and free corkage for life. From Fleurie, you can win a luxurious wine dinner of a lifetime with twenty guests at Lovingston Winery, where Fleurie owner Brian Helleberg will serve some of his most exclusive wines. With Ivy Inn, you can be sous chef to Michelin Star winner Jeremiah Langhorne in the Ivy Inn kitchen, and help prepare a spectacular tasting menu for ten friends, while a professional photographer captures the memories. Lampo will build you a replica of its pizza oven at your home, throw a pizza party to teach you how to use it, and provide free dough for life. And, with Bodo’s, you can win lunch with University of Virginia Men’s Basketball coach Tony Bennett in his office at John Paul Jones Arena.

Bidding is ongoing. For more information and to place your bids, see the links below.

Here is your chance to experience Bodo’s like you never have before, while helping to feed the area’s hungry: The Charlottesville 29 Restaurant Auctions. Along with all of the other restaurants in The Charlottesville 29, Bodo’s has created a once-in-a-lifetime experience for whoever pledges the highest donation to The Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. Thanks to the generosity of Bodo’s, the entire winning bid goes directly to the food bank. And, thanks to the efficiency of the food bank, each dollar donated creates four meals for the area’s hungry.

In addition to offering the auction experience below, Bodo’s is also raffling off a Year of Bodo’s, so that everyone has a chance to win. Again, every dollar goes directly to food bank. The more you donate, the more chances to win. Enter to win here.

The Bodo’s signature experience for The Charlottesville 29 Restaurant Auctions:

Lunch of Champions with Tony Bennett

For the first iteration of The Charlottesville 29 Restaurant Auctions in 2016, Bodo’s offered a Breakfast of Champions: a catered brunch with every active University of Virginia coach to have won a national championship. UVa Men’s Basketball Coach Tony Bennett was not present because, though a champion in the hearts of UVa fans, his team had yet to bring home a national championship.

That all changed in April.

Now, Bodo’s is helping to celebrate, with lunch in Tony Bennett’s office for the auction winner and up to five additional guests. Upon the group’s arrival to John Paul Jones Arena, a UVa staff member will treat them to a personal tour – a behind-the-scenes look at one of the top facilities in the country, from the locker room to the practice gym to the weight room and beyond. Next, the group will shoot baskets and take pictures on the team’s practice court or, if available, the home floor of the 2019 NCAA Men’s Basketball Champions. Finally, they will head to Coach Bennett’s office, where they will enjoy lunch with Bennett himself. Bodo’s will deliver all of the sandwiches, sides, and drinks that Coach Bennett and the auction winner’s group desire. Over lunch, the group can take photos with the national champion coach and trophy, bring gear to be signed, or just spend time getting to know the best basketball coach in the country.

It’s the ultimate Bodo’s experience: Lunch of Champions with Tony Bennett.

Note: The auction winner will schedule their experience on a day that is mutually convenient for UVa and Tony Bennett. The total experience will last roughly two hours, and lunch with Coach Bennett will last sixty minutes.

Win A Year of Bodo’s

The 2019 Charlottesville 29 Restaurant Auctions are an incredible gift from the Charlottesville food community to our area’s hungry, with every dollar of winning bids going to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. In a time when one in eleven people in our area struggles to put food on the table, the food bank takes each dollar donated and turns it into four meals for the hungry. But, what if you lack room in your budget to bid, and still want to support the cause?

Bodo’s is there when you need them.

Consistent with the “everyone is welcome” philosophy on which it was founded, Bodo’s has created something anyone can win, no matter the size of your bank account. In partnership with The Charlottesville 29 Restaurant Auctions, it’s the raffle to Win a Year of Bodo’s.

That’s right. Win the raffle and, for an entire year, you may visit the Bodo’s location of your choice once each day and order whatever you want (subject to a daily limit). The more you donate, the better your chance to win. Because every dollar in the raffle goes directly to the food bank, you cannot lose. Whether or not you win the prize, your entries will still help to feed our area’s hungry.

So, join Charlottesville’s favorite restaurant in fighting hunger. Enter to win here.
