The Charlottesville 29

If there were just 29 restaurants in Charlottesville, what would be the ideal 29?

Keevil & Keevil Auction: Two Fantastical Feasts

Here is your chance to experience Keevil & Keevil Grocery and Kitchen like you never have before, while helping to feed the area’s hungry: The Charlottesville 29 Artisan Auctions. As one of the artisans of Prime 109’s August 20 Celebration of Charlottesville Restaurants, Keevil & Keevil has created a once-in-a-lifetime experience for whoever pledges the highest donation to The Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. Thanks to the generosity of Keevil & Keevil, the entire winning bid goes directly to the food bank. And, thanks to the efficiency of the food bank, each dollar donated creates four meals for the area’s hungry.

The Keevil & Keevil signature experience for The Charlottesville 29 Restaurant Auctions:

Two Fantastical Feasts

Chef-owner of the much-missed Brookville, Harrison Keevil is one of the most creative chefs in town. For the auction winner, Keevil plans to let loose with two of the most ambitious meals he has ever made. Not once but twice, he will come to the auction winner’s home to prepare fantastical feasts inspired by two of the most food-obsessed periods in British history: Tudor and Victorian.

Keevil says that these eras revolutionized the way people eat, with impacts still felt today, and his meals will celebrate each. Fun and whimsical, the dinners will be not just delicious but also thought-provoking, drawing on traditional and modern cooking techniques to yield dishes that will surprise guests’ taste buds, and might not always be what meets the eye.

The auction winner will provide their own beverage pairings, and to facilitate the pairings, Keevil will give advance notice of primary flavors featured in each feast. The full menus, however, will remain a surprise until the moment guests enjoy them.

It’s the ultimate Keevil & Keevil experience: Two Fantastical Feasts.
