Charles McDaniel has many claims to fame. The Virginia Football great is the second leading tackler in school history. He runs the award-winning moving company Hilldrup. And, in 2016, he won The Charlottesville 29 Restaurant Auction item Burgers with Bronco, a special evening at Citizen Burger Bar.
Now, he is the winner of an auction in The 2019 Charlottesville Restaurant Auctions: TEN’s Luxury Omakase. “Sushi chef Pei Chang will plan ahead to make sure he has the very best ingredients available in order to create an indulgent menu of course-after-course of luxury ingredients, like uni from Hokkaido, Spanish Bluefin tuna, caviar, lobster and more. Plus, guests will enjoy exotic sake and wine pairings throughout the meal.” McDaniel’s winning bid of $2,600 will provide more than 10,000 meals to our area’s hungry.
For one night only, Prime 109 invites you to join the food community in celebrating the generosity of Charlottesville restaurants. On Tuesday, August 20, Prime 109 will turn its dining room into a food court of the area’s best food and drink artisans. In appreciation of restaurants’ efforts to feed our area’s hungry, Prime 109 will welcome as a guest one representative from each restaurant in The 2019 Charlottesville 29 Restaurant Auctions. The remaining attendees will be lucky ticket-holders from the public. Tickets are limited. Get yours below.
While roaming the food court and mingling with leaders of the Charlottesville food community, guests may bid on the final five auction experiences remaining in The Charlottesville 29 Restaurant Auctions, as well as special experiences donated by artisans of the food court. The evening will culminate with the presentation of a symbolic check from the Charlottesville food community to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank in the total amount raised by The 2019 Charlottesville 29 Restaurant Auctions.
Thanks to the generosity of Prime 109 and the participating artisans, every dollar of ticket sales goes directly to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. Get your tickets now, before they are gone.
