Parallel 38 Anniversary Celebration
by Charlottesville29
Parallel 38 is celebrating its one year anniversary of reopening this week by bringing back several beloved specials of the past. Wednesday through Sunday, you can find favorites like those below, plus, owner Justin Ross says, a few more surprises:
Bucatini alla Amatrice – pomodora, pancetta, pecorino, red onion, calabria chili
(Mt. Rushmore Chef Craig Hartman once named this the best thing he ate all year.)
Spicy tuna tartare – sushi grade, chili sauce, sesame, soy, cilantro, and cucumber
Mom’s fried mozzarella – herb panko, fried basil, pomodoro sauce
The restaurant is also adding sandwiches to the menu permanently this week, including the famous pork belly gyro, with shaved pork belly, pita, greens, cucumber, labneh, and pickled shallots. The pork belly gyro was the winning dish at this year’s CURED Fest.
