In The 2019 Charlottesville 29 Restaurants, restaurants’ generosity continues to inspire others. The extraordinary experiences that restaurants have donated, all to benefit the hungry, have moved others to kindness.

Today, bidding ended in the auction offering from Milan: a Traditional Indian Feast for 50, with wine pairings from Market Street Wine. The winner? With a bid of $2,700, Blenheim Vineyards, which plans to use the feast as a party for its staff. Got that? To throw a party for its staff, a Charlottesville area vineyard, which is already donating wine for another restaurant’s auction experience, donated $2,700 to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank for a feast donated by a local restaurant and wine shop.

Thanks to the efficiency of the food bank, the impact of all of that generosity will not be small. The winning donation will create more than 10,000 meals for the area’s hungry.
