Auction for Peter Chang’s Homestyle Feast
Here’s your chance to attend a sold out, once-in-a-lifetime food event, all while helping to feed our area’s hungry. Tickets to Homestyle III sold out in hours, and it’s no wonder. How often do you have the chance to enjoy a multi-course feast of the personal favorite dishes of Peter Chang, who many consider the best Szechuan chef in the country? Eight appetizers, and then five (or more) main dishes, all served family style and all prepared by Peter Chang himself. Plus, beer pairings by Champion Brewing Company.
We are auctioning off two tickets to the sold-out dinner, with all proceeds to go directly to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. As cold weather approaches, the needs of the area’s hungry become more acute. Make a generous donation to help feed the area’s hungry this winter, and be rewarded with a once-in-a-lifetime meal. Because of the food bank’s remarkable efficiency, each dollar contributed provides four meals for the area’s hungry. So, a bid of, say, $500 would mean 2,000 meals for the hungry.
The dinner is November 9 at Peter Chang’s in Charlottesville. Bidding opens at $200, starts immediately, and closes on Thursday, November 5 at 5 pm, eastern time. You can place a bid on The Charlottesville 29’s Facebook page, or by emailing charlottesville29@gmail.com, subject line Homestyle. Regular updates of the auction leader will be posted on Facebook, and the winner will be announced next Friday. Good luck, and thank you in advance for your generosity from The Charlottesville 29.
